This posting is for an existing vacancy. Archmill House does not use AI to screen, assess, or select applicants.
WHY THIS ROLE
- Real Ownership. You'll own a portfolio of quick-service restaurant remodels across Canada and the US, from handoff to closeout. You make the calls on schedule, trades and cost, and you answer for the result.
- Defined Process. We own the end-to-end process. Design, millwork and fixtures are built in-house by Archmill House, so you're not waiting on someone else's shop or chasing a supplier's excuses.
- Rapid Results. Our projects run in days, not months. You'll see the results of your decisions within weeks and deliver many projects a year, not one or two.
- Paid for Performance. On top of a competitive salary, our bonus plan rewards projects delivered on time, on budget and done right.
- Room to Grow. Rapid Re-Image™ is a growing division. You'll work directly with our COO, help shape how we deliver projects, and coach the next group of PMs. As we grow, so does the scope of the role.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own several projects at once: scope, schedule, budget, margin, risk and closeout.
- Work through the details, including drawings, sequencing, trade schedules, change orders and cost to complete.
- Hold subcontractors and vendors to their commitments. When something slips, set the fix and the deadline that day.
- Act as the senior contact for client construction and operations leaders, including hard conversations about scope, schedule and cost.
- Raise risks early and bring a recommended solution with each one.
- Coach other Project Managers and help them get difficult projects back on track.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 10+ years managing complex construction projects with full ownership of budget and schedule. Experience in restaurant, retail, millwork or multi-site rollouts is strongly preferred.
- Experience delivering fast-track projects on time and on budget.
- Strong working knowledge of drawings, specifications, contracts, change management and job-cost forecasting.
- Clear, direct communication. You say what's happening, what it means and what you're doing about it.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability.
- Calm, logical judgment under pressure, and the drive to make decisions yourself.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to Canadian and US sites up to 40% of the time, about two days a week. Not every trip means an overnight stay.
- A degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is preferred. A PMP or similar designation is an asset.
