Original job description

Company Description August 8 is an all-you-can-eat restaurant chain that blends Cantonese-style dim sum with Japanese sushi for the local community. Founded in 2008 in downtown Hamilton, Ontario, it introduced a new dining concept to the area by combining these two cuisines in one experience. The brand name evolved organically from guests referring to “August” as “August 8,” reflecting the strong connection between the restaurant and its loyal customer base. Today, August 8 continues to grow as a recognizable and customer-focused brand, offering a lively environment for both guests and team members.

The Food Runner supports guest satisfaction by responding to requests, answering basic questions about menu items, and helping to resolve minor issues quickly. This position also assists with restocking, clearing tables as needed, and following food safety and hygiene procedures.

Candidates should possess strong Food Service and Food & Beverage skills to handle dishes efficiently and uphold quality standards.
Candidates should possess Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
